SWEET RELEASE: TORONTO’S CANDY COATED KILLAHZ

 

 

Urban electro-pop duo Candy Coated Killahz are unleashing their debut album “It Factor” on May 8th, 2008 at Toronto’s newest hot spot, Wrongbar.  

 

It Factor, produced and engineered by front-girl Tosha Dash, pumps together the most irreplaceable elements of hip hop, electro-pop, and dance anthems. CCK has set the international music blog community abuzz, their electric sound being compared with the styles of Gwen Stefani, Black Eyed Peas, Kelis, Outkast and M.I.A.  Tosha and her partner-in-crime Icon the Anomali come to life in their debut single, Playboy, which is a welcomed slap-in-the-face combining deep, sweaty beats with irresistible lyrics and a fly hook.

 

May 8th’s party will feature live guests TMDP and DJ Vaneska with more acts to be announced in the coming weeks. The Candy Coated Killahz live shows, at venues such as Toronto’s The Social, The Boat, Toronto Alternative Fashion Week, and Harlem, have drawn eager party crowds that make the dancefloor sweat, including Vancouver’s own Nelly Furtado.

 

This summer will see Candy Coated Killahz perform at choice venues across North America including dates in Toronto, Montreal, New York, Vancouver, Miami, and Chicago.  

 

 

Wrongbar is located at 1279 Queen Street West (just west of Dufferin). This is a 19+ event.
